What is mylife.?

mylife. is a transformative weekend in Gainesville, FL, built to equip middle and high school students for real life with God at the center. That's why it's called mylife, we want every student living their best life with God at the center.

Students come together to encounter Jesus, grow in their faith, and get ready to face life's challenges with confidence. They'll hit three main sessions, small group time, a sleepover with their group at a host home, and full-on Squad Wars all weekend long!

What goes down

Squad Wars

What fun is camp without some competition?

Every student at mylife. is part of the high-energy, fast-action Squad Wars that take place each morning. At the end of the weekend, only one Squad will prevail!

Worship

Jesus is our anthem.

We want our love for Jesus to be obvious. We worship together throughout the weekend as students are invited to engage, respond, and grow in their faith.

Teaching

Equipping for real life with Jesus at the center.

Life brings challenges, questions, and obstacles, and this weekend is designed to help students be ready. Through teaching from our speaker Parker Rushing, students are encouraged and challenged to live with God at the center.

Small Groups

Life is better, together.

Small groups are at the heart of mylife. Every student is placed in a group led by leaders who care deeply, with space to build real friendships, talk honestly about life and faith, and grow alongside others on the same journey.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who can attend mylife. at Anthem Church?

mylife. is a student retreat weekend open to all middle school and high school students. It's designed to equip students for real life with God at the center, no matter where they're starting from in their faith.

What guidelines do students need to follow at mylife.?

Students are expected to respect host home and leader guidelines, and to be present and on time for every event, including meals. There's no PDA, and no drugs, alcohol, tobacco, vape materials, fireworks, firearms, knives, water balloons, eggs, or water pistols allowed. Students must ride with an adult and may not drive themselves or others during the weekend.

What should my student pack for mylife.?

Students should pack clothes for the weekend (checking the weather ahead of time), team color apparel for Friday's session, glow-in-the-dark items for Fun Night, and camo for Late Night. They'll also need closed-toed shoes, a towel and wash cloth, water bottle, toiletries, sleeping bag or blanket, pillow, any prescriptions (which are collected at check-in), a Bible or Bible app, a notebook, and snacks for the host home.

What are host homes at mylife., and where do students stay?

Students spend Friday and Saturday nights with their small group and leaders at the home of generous parent or leader volunteers, one of the best parts of the mylife. experience. Host home names and contact info are provided to parents via email ahead of the weekend.

Who leads the small groups at mylife.?

Each student is placed with some of Anthem Church's best small-group leaders, who work to create a safe environment where students live out the church's motto: You Matter, You Belong. Leader contact info is provided to parents via email.

What time is check-in for mylife. 2026?

Check-in for mylife. 2026 begins Friday, February 6th at 7 PM at Anthem Church and runs until the first session starts at 8 PM. Parents should plan to arrive within that window so their student doesn't miss part of the experience.

What time is check-out, and can students leave early?

Check-out is Sunday, February 8th from 8 to 8:30 AM. Parents should tell staff at check-in who will be picking up their student, since only approved adults are allowed to check students out, and students are expected to stay for the entire weekend unless prior confirmation is given by Student Ministries Director Philip Floor.

Who do parents contact for behavior issues or emergencies during mylife.?

For any behavior issue or emergency, parents will be contacted immediately by Student Ministries Director Philip Floor or Family Ministries Director Annie Tucker. If an emergency at home requires picking up a student early, parents should contact Philip Floor directly so the student can be ready.

What safety measures are in place at mylife.?

Keeping every student safe is Anthem Church's top priority throughout the mylife. weekend. A security team is present the entire time, every adult volunteer is background checked, and all drivers have had a DMV report run.

Will mylife. sessions include loud noises or flashing lights?

Sessions include music, games, lights, and messages as part of the full mylife. experience. If a student is sensitive to moving lights, flashes, or loud noises, parents can let the team know in advance, and lobby viewing with screens and speakers, earplugs, and headphones are available on request.

Will there be Sunday student services the weekend of mylife.?

To give students and volunteers a chance to rest after the weekend, Transit and InsideOut services will not meet on Sunday, February 8th, resuming again on February 15th. Waumba Land, UpStreet, and adult services will still meet as usual at 9:15 & 11:00 AM.

Volunteer

When we encounter Jesus, our lives are changed, and we want students to experience that same life-changing truth. Serving at mylife. is a chance to help create space for students to encounter Jesus, build community, and grow in their faith.

Volunteers play a huge role in making this weekend possible, from leading small groups to supporting behind the scenes. If you're passionate about investing in the next generation, we'd love for you to serve with us!

Need help with the cost?

Don't let money be the reason your student stays home. Email our Student Director, Philip Floor, and we'll take it from there. So many people at Anthem give generously so every single student gets to go.
