Kids' Wellness Policy
Here at Anthem, we've always been committed to the health and safety of your kids—and in this season, it's more important than ever. Our Wellness Policy helps us, our volunteers, and you, minimize the risk of illness in our kids' environments.

We ask that you keep your child home from church if they exhibit any of the following symptoms:
- Fever (during this season, must be fever-free for seven days)
- Vomiting or diarrhea (must be symptom-free for 24 hours)
- Common cold, from onset through one week
- Respiratory infection
- Flu
- Sore throat or strep throat
- Croup
- Cloudy or green runny nose
- Persistent cough
- Body aches
- Headache
- Chills
- Fatigue
- Infectious or unexplained rash
- Pinkeye or other eye infection (must be on medication a minimum of 24 hours)
- Any childhood disease (e.g., scarlet fever, German measles, mumps, chickenpox)
Volunteers follow safe hand-washing procedures, and children are instructed to wash their hands after using the bathroom and before eating. In addition, all our volunteers and staff:
- Follow posted safe and sanitary diaper-changing procedures.
- Use hand sanitizer in all classrooms (kids do, too!)
- Disinfect the classrooms and all surfaces (including toys in Waumba Land) after each service.
- Remove children from the classroom if they appear to be sick, and parents are paged to pick them up.
