In late December of 2024, the Lead Pastor position was posted online at churchstaffing.com and on the Irresistible Church Network job posting website. Over the course of six weeks, we received over 100 applications. Out of this group, 14 applicants met the minimum requirements as outlined in the Lead Pastor Ideal Candidate Profile.

In February, after a thorough review, vetting, and conversations, the search committee selected 5 of the 14 applicants that met the minimum requirements to complete the questionnaire and be invited to a first interview.

Over the next few weeks, 3 of the 5 applicants removed themselves from consideration due to other positions they were interviewing for and considering. Additionally, after speaking with two references, the committee decided not to pursue one of the other candidates.

This brought us to the end of March and the start of interviews with the remaining candidate. The first interview will be held the week of March 31st. Three or four committee members will participate in each interview, which will be recorded for the rest of the committee to watch. After each interview, the committee will vote if they want to continue on with the candidate to the next interview. (See the process outlined below.)

The search committee truly feels that God has been guiding this process all along. Please continue to pray for this process, the remaining candidate, and the committee. Pray for God’s wisdom, clarity, and confirmation not only for the committee but the candidate as well.  Pray that we would stay ruthlessly focused on God‘s desire for our church and that he would make it clear and obvious who he is calling to serve as our new lead pastor.
