Better Together

We don't do this one alone. We team up with Beachside Community Church (Fort Walton Beach, FL) and Wiregrass Church (Dothan, AL), churches we're connected to through North Point's Irresistible Church Network. Your student meets new faces and hears from a few different student pastors all weekend.

How do students get to and from Vertical Reality camp?

What time does check-in start for Vertical Reality?

What are the guidelines and rules for Vertical Reality camp?
We want to offer the safest and most enjoyable environment for your student(s) while at camp. Below is a list of some general important guidelines we ask all students to follow while at camp. Failure to follow these guidelines could result in removal from camp. We ask that you please go over these guidelines with your student(s) before attending.

Students are expected to respect their leaders' guidelines, stay present, and be on time for every event, including meals. Items like drugs, alcohol, tobacco, vape materials, TVs, fireworks, firearms, knives, water balloons, eggs, and water pistols aren't allowed.
How Can I Ensure My Student Is Safe?
Keeping every student safe while at camp is of the utmost importance to us. Throughout camp, we will have our security team present, and any adult who comes in contact with your student(s) has been background checked. Due to the fact that your student(s) will be traveling by car with our leaders and staff, all of our leaders and staff who will be driving have also had a DMV report run on them.
How does check-out work, and can a student leave camp early?
An approved parent/guardian will pick their student up at Anthem Church on October 4 between 3:00–3:30 PM. Students stay at camp the entire weekend unless prior confirmation is given by Anthem's Student Ministries Director, Philip Floor.
Who do we contact for a behavior issue or emergency during camp?
If there is a behavior issue with your student(s), an emergency involving your student(s), or an emergency that takes place at camp, you will be contacted immediately by our Student Ministries Director, Philip Floor, or our Admin, Erin Stanland to have them picked up (Contact info for both of them can be found on the camp website below). If an emergency takes place in your personal life where your student(s) needs to be picked up, we ask you to contact our Student Ministries Director, Philip Floor so we can have your student(s) ready to be picked up.
How does Anthem Church keep students safe at Vertical Reality?
Keeping every student safe is the top priority at Vertical Reality. A security team is present throughout camp, every adult attending is background checked, and all leaders and staff who drive have had a DMV report run.
Will there be loud music or anything that might bother a sensitive student?
Sessions at Vertical Reality include live music from our camp worship band. If your student is sensitive to loud sounds, earplugs and headphones are available on request.
Will Transit or InsideOut meet on the Sunday of Vertical Reality?
Because the group is still driving back from camp that day, Transit and InsideOut will not meet on Sunday, October 4. If your student normally volunteers in an Anthem Church environment, have them let their team know ahead of time.
